A David vs. Goliath battle is being waged in Montgomery County over the structure of the County Council. On one side is a non-partisan citizens’ ballot committee that collected over 16,000 signatures during the COVID-19 lock down to get Question D on the ballot. It would change the structure to nine individual districts. On the other side, is the powerful County Council, which at the last minute on the last day of summer session, suspended its public comment rules to put a competing Question C on the ballot to confuse voters.
If both measures win, both fail; it doesn’t matter how many votes each gets. Then it’s back to the status quo, which is the real goal of the County Council.
Currently, seven of the nine County Council members live around the down-county crescent near Silver Spring and Takoma Park, home to the most liberal, progressive, densely populated, and wealthiest part of the County. This is not a fluke, it has been going on for the past three decades. How does that happen?
Montgomery is a “one-party rule” county.
Four of the nine Council positions are elected At-Large. “At-Large” is false advertising. Instead of representing all county residents, the At-Large representatives have demonstrated repeatedly their priorities are those of their neighbors living in Silver Spring and Takoma Park.
The structure is broken. It allows the Council to have a majority of members from the same southeastern corner of the county. Studies have shown that At-Large seats discriminate against women and minority candidates.
Not one elected official in Montgomery County, county or state, is registered Republican or any other party other than Democrat. Sadly, it has also turned into a pay-for-play county. The County gives grants to a long list of non-profit organizations, that in turn exhort its members to vote for the people who will continue to give them taxpayer money.
The unions are in on the game and they have a big influence on the county’s unionized employees (i.e. teachers, police, fire, transportation, and other workers). The teachers’ union even publishes an “Apple Ballot,” exclusively advocating for Democrats, handed out at the polls. Last year, the County Executive negotiated some of the largest raises in the area for union employees, only to find this year there is not enough money to pay them, thanks to the COVID-19 induced shut-downs.
What to do? Raise property taxes, of course!
When families are struggling to make ends meet.
When schools are closed or partially opened and parents and students are both working from home.
When businesses are falling like dominoes.
The beauty of property taxes, from the cynical left’s point of view, is that if they aren’t paid, homes will be seized by the government.
Pay up or we’ll take your home away and sell it to someone else.
Property owners bear the burden of paying taxes for services used by everyone, so it’s not fair to raise taxes just on them. But, for the progressive leftists on the County Council, it’s the path of least resistance.
Interestingly, one Republican saw this coming. Robin Ficker, who Democrat detractors (and even some high-minded Republicans) label a political gadfly, got enough signatures to place another measure on the ballot—Question B—to limit the amount of any property tax increase to the rate of inflation. What to do? Put a competing measure on the ballot—Question A—authored by the County Council. Even if both of these measures win, canceling each other out, the status quo is better than either of them.
The County Charter currently allows property taxes to be raised above the rate of inflation only by unanimous vote of the county Council. Easy enough, since 95 percent of all Council votes this term have been unanimous.
Democrats have pulled out all stops to fight Questions B and D, including enlisting former County officials Ike Leggitt, David Blair, and Connie Morella.
Marilyn Balcombe, a Democrat who lost her bid for At-Large Council member in the last election, is running competing ballot committees to defeat B & D. She’s already on record saying she plans to run for At-Large again, so she has a vested interest in making sure voters don’t approve nine individual districts. Adam Pagnucco, former Council staffer and blogger for Seventh State, has repeatedly and erroneously tried to scare his readers by painting both citizen ballot initiatives as Republican efforts.
Increased taxes won’t really hurt the lifestyle of the wealthy.
“I don’t mind paying higher taxes, I’m sure they’ll be put to good use.”
A well-dressed woman leaving a high-end restaurant recently exclaimed this to me.
Compare that to the worried look in a naturalized citizen’s eyes, standing at the door of his modest townhouse, who says he is telling his friends to look at issues, not just party, when voting this year. “It’s not fair to make property owners bear the burden of services used by everyone,” he said.
The people hurt the most by the well-intentioned liberal elite are the people they claim to want to help the most.
Please vote FOR Questions B and D and AGAINST Questions A and C.
From a conservative teacher in the Montgomery County, Maryland Public School (MCPS)System.
Conservatism, Education, and Montgomery County Public Schools is a combination that is not welcome. I have seen it firsthand. My hope is through a series of articles, I can share my experiences as a conservative teacher within the MCPS system. I look forward to shedding some light on what is happening within our public school system.
“This is a safe space, right?”
This is what was said by one of my fellow teachers during an interview our school recently conducted.
She proceeded to explain why she felt one particular candidate was not a strong candidate.
No, it was not that this candidate was inexperienced. Her resume showed years of experience in the education field.
No, it was not that this candidate spoke of any educational theory or practice that conflicted with our school’s mission.
No, it was not that this candidate lacked the confidence her role would need in order to interact with our school community.
It was that she was white.
I have sat on several interview panels throughout my teaching career. The typical structure of the interview involves the panel identifying strengths and weaknesses of each candidate immediately after the interview.
“This is a safe space, right?”
Of course, our principal replied that we were in a safe space, allowing the teacher to explain to the panel that her whiteness was a weakness. That, despite the fact that this candidate’s way of life was almost identical to the teacher, she was still weak. You see, the candidate is married to a black man and is the mother of biracial children. The candidate even took the time to explain that she felt her family diversity was a strength of hers. The teacher who brought up this “weakness” also happens to be a white woman who was previously married to a black man and has biracial children.
And, if what she was stating is indeed a weakness, should this teacher even be teaching our children?
If I was shocked by her statement, I cannot remember. What I do remember is becoming irritated by how the rest of the debrief unfolded. My principal, along with others in the panel, praised the teacher for her courage.
At the end of it all, the majority of the panel chose a different candidate. The job was offered to a candidate who maybe did not have as much experience, and may have not had the strongest interview. The job instead was offered to a candidate who was unburdened by the same “weakness” as the other candidate.
From The Editor: Below is a video produced by Act 4 Greater America. Our combined goal is to bring awareness to the dangers of Leftism (under the guise of the current Democrat Party) and how policies endorsed and enacted by county governments, especially in Montgomery County, are socialist in nature and detrimental to the success of our country and our citizenry.
Christianity, Constitution, and Capitalism.
Paraphrased excerpts below (unless quoted):
The combination of the three C’s mentioned above makes the greatness of America, and we must defend these values. China is trying to destroy these core values.
Like the human body, a nation can also succumb to a virus. In this case, the virus of ideology is even more dangerous and can cause even greater destruction. The virus of ideology is leftism/marxism/socialism/communism (however you want to call it, it is the same thing), and it has left a trail of destruction.
Institutions have been infiltrated by this ideology and young people are being indoctrinated by those same people in positions of authority. Handouts and government dependency are going to ruin the economic might of the country. Abortion-on-demand is forcing our faith in God out of our culture; Christians are being persecuted for their faith. Removing prayer from public school and replacing it with questionable material (LGBT++) in its place is also part of that effort to eradicate religion.
The Democrats use word control to control people’s thoughts by using labels and throwing them onto anyone who disagrees with you. It’s exactly what the Communist party used in China.
It wasn’t until 2016 that enough people fed up with these laws against freedom and the P.C. Culture woke up and said, “We’ve got to fight back.” President Donald Trump has kept his promises; he has lowered taxes, reduced government regulation, appointed judges who adhered to the Constitution, and surrounded himself by people of prayer.
When the Democrats couldn’t derail President Trump with their hoaxes and fake news, they adhered to the same playbook of using class and racial strife, and created a lot of chaos. You don’t have to go far outside of the U.S.A. to see what these tactics have caused. American cities, such as Chicago, Minneapolis, and Portland, have turned into ruins because of the failed policies of the Democrats in power.
You must vote for Donald Trump in this election; it is that serious.
From A Fed Up Patriot In Montgomery County, Maryland.
Webster’s dictionary defines complacency as “a feeling of quiet pleasure or security, often while unaware of some potential danger, defect, or the like; self-satisfaction or smug satisfaction with an existing situation, condition, etc.” Laziness and complacency are semantically related. In some cases, you can use “Laziness” instead of “Complacency.”
Recently, if one has been following the news, they are aware that our country is at a positional crossroads.
America as we know it is being fundamentally challenged by extreme leftists bent on transforming America into a socialist/Marxist country.
The Washington Free Beacon last week reported that big money and forces are behind the Democrats to assist in this cultural revolution. The article went on to say post-election mobilization isn’t just a project for the liberal fringe, but is rather a powerful Democrat interest group with a massive dark money network. The author went on to detail how many hundreds of millions of dollars are funneled through laundering organizations into Democrat causes.
We are up against enemies of America who are expertly organized and well-funded.
So, what does this mean for America? It means American voters must no longer be complacent. Normal, conservative Americans must take a stand. They must vote their conscience if America is to continue to be the land of the free and home of the brave. If you are a student of the Bible, you are aware that the apostle John wrote to seven of the early churches of that day. One church in particular, the church at Laodicea, located in modern Turkey, was a focus of John’s writing. The message to Laodicea is one of judgement with a call to repentance. The traditional view has been that the Laodiceans were being criticized for their neutrality or lack of zeal (hence “lukewarm”). In Rev 3:15-16 John describes the Laodicians:
“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!”
No one likes lukewarm soda or water; to be lukewarm in today’s political climate is to write the final chapter for America as we know it.
Should the Democrats succeed in winning the election, they have already told us they will change the structure of our court system, stacking our courts with leftist, liberal judges. The 2nd amendment will be revoked. The killing of babies through abortion will continue. Our freedom to worship will be revoked even as churches have been penalized and silenced during the coronavirus. Our 1st amendment freedom of speech will go away through the elimination of words that are designated as not “politically correct.” Our freedoms that we have enjoyed in America will be limited, as we have witnessed during the pandemic, or as I call it the “Dem-panic.” The violent lawbreakers will be given a free pass and the law-abiding citizens will be punished.
The America we have witnessed over the past several months will become the norm.
Those Democrats who lead us in the House and Senate will continue their disgusting politics. The Justice Department will become the Injustice Department. The double standard between the elite class of rulers will become even more visible and tolerated.
The time for straddling the fence is over. Every vote counts. Franklin Graham reported that 30 million Christians did not vote in the last election. In the 2020 election every vote is needed. Please don’t be complacent. Our Judeo-Christian values are at stake.

From an anonymous teacher and parent in the Montgomery County, Maryland Public School System (MCPS).
The graphics below are from a PowerPoint presentation provided to teachers in MCPS.
One look at Angel Kyodo Williams’ website and you will understand how important it is to educate yourself about what exactly is being taught to your children, and who is influencing these curriculum decisions.
The slide above makes the assumption it is difficult “to talk about race.” Making wide, generalized assumptions is once again furthering the divide and forcing people to have “conversations” about a problem that does not exist in the majority of the population, and an issue that was exacerbated by former President Obama.
The goal of this slide is to curb free speech, plain and simple. From the slide above, the definition of a “microaggression” could be anything that offends another person. ANYTHING. Best to shut up at this point in the event you appear racist.
Nothing like an MTV video to class this discussion up. Apparently, only White people can cause “microaggressions” by simply breathing air.
This slide comes from tolerance.org. Enjoy reading their entire guide to combating everyday prejudice, bias, and stereotypes. Another reminder to curb free speech and limit actual debates through interruption, “education” a.k.a. indoctrination, and “echo,” which sounds eerily similar to creating an echo chamber of intolerance.
Keep on reading.
Both slides above provide instruction on how to act, how to think, and what to do to prevent an offended person from….what? Lashing out and calling you a racist? Burning your car? Destroying your business? Are we supposed to be tiptoeing through life making sure we don’t offend someone?
This slide is showcasing how misinformation helps to further racial tensions. Note the need to provide “powerful” photographs to emotionally manipulate people into thinking and feeling a certain way. I’d like to know how many Hispanic residents were tested compared to other races, as well as what percentage of that entire population of the suburb is Hispanic. I’d like to know if Black children are so scared of dying, why are they out protesting instead of quarantining themselves? Who told that woman that her ethnicity is a “virus”? Are my questions “offending” you? Unlike the slides’ instructions, I refuse to apologize; guess that makes me a “racist” with “implicit bias.”
Didn’t think you needed to panic during a conversation about race? No problem, because the school system wants you to use this calming video to stop a panic attack before it even happens. This is classic psychological conditioning, folks: repeatedly telling someone that they will need to calm down after having a “courageous conversation about race” when they aren’t having any anxiety issues, will lead them to eventually associate having a panic attack or experience anxiety when discussing this topic.
I encourage all parents to click on the reference links below to get a better idea of where we are headed; if this continues, our children will not be educated to become productive members of society. They will become social justice warriors with no marketable skills, thereby relying more heavily on government handouts to create a comfortable standard of living.
We are bringing awareness to the unjust and unfair treatment our nation’s children are experiencing due to state-sanctioned indoctrination and certain schools not reopening in the DC Metro Area.
I wanted to share something that ties into Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), black lives matter (BLM), and Law Enforcement (LE).
Recently I saw my son’s high school teacher wearing a BLM shirt on their zoom meeting for class. We addressed it by expressing our concern with the principal, informing him of my husband’s service and how my entire career has been in support of all levels of LE in many different ways throughout the years.
Today we received a response.
“MCPS does not recognize Black Lives Matter as political speech. It is recognized as an advocacy group started as a response to police shootings, as you can read on their website. The organization’s mission is aligned with the MCPS core values, and it is representative of our inclusive environment. That said, I did discuss the shirt with the teacher and let her know that one of her student’s families took offense to her wearing of the shirt so she was aware of the possible impact on some of her students and community members.”
The first issue is the principal speaking for the district. The second is the BLM site. Their political advocacy isn’t listed on the “About” page but it is listed on the “What’s Next” portion of their site.
My question is why is this acceptable? They are saying that the district’s core values align with civil unrest and the targeting of LE? MCPS is the largest school district in MD.
THIS is what our kids are seeing and secretly learning? I’m utterly speechless right now.
Written by a former educator and a retired teacher of the Montgomery County, Maryland Public School System (MCPS).
What’s really being taught?
As a former educator I have a deep appreciation for education. What’s happening in the Montgomery County School System and systems across our nation is not education- it’s indoctrination. The children of Montgomery County are being programmed to accept the Marxist ideology by teachers whose jobs are at risk if they challenge the system. This is happening under the watchwords: equity, 1619 project, social justice, racism, police brutality, cancel culture, and social reform.
“We want our sons and daughters to know the truth.”
“Our country wasn’t built on cancel culture, speech codes, and crushing conformity; we are not a nation of timid spirits.”
My wife, who is a retired teacher from MCPS, recently contacted several of her conservative friends still teaching in the system. She asked them how the current cancel culture environment is affecting their teaching. Here are some of the responses:
“I was given the book ‘White Fragility’ and was told we’d be discussing it during staff development. We also received an email after the George Floyd incident that expressed the administration’s white guilt we all should feel. It was re-sent at the beginning of the school year. Conservative teachers are frustrated and many are ready to retire.“
“Teachers and para educators are required by the county to view 10 videos redefining race, sexual orientation, and inappropriate words considered politically and socially incorrect. Teachers and paras must adhere to these new standards or risk disciplinary actions or termination. Many of these new guidelines conflict with the moral and ethical values that Judeo-Christian teachers hold.“
“I assisted in a classroom where the teacher had a large picture of president Obama on the wall with the caption under it that read, ‘Greatest President Ever.’ The flag was placed next to the American flag so children were forced to view this every morning as the pledge was recited.”
“I recently posted a clip on my personal Facebook page following the attempted police assassination in Los Angeles that read Police Lives Matter. I was told by the administration that I must remove it or face disciplinary action.“
“As a history teacher I’m expected to teach the narrative, ‘It’s not a black fight but rather a human fight.’ Every teacher in every context is expected to teach something regarding it. It’s also taught in homeroom.”
“I see bias. When the kids go to a source to site examples during an assignment MCPS always uses very liberal news outlets like CNN, New York Times, Vox, etc.“
Another testimonial we got was from a Montgomery County police officer who shared that the police had been called because a teacher was offended during her zoom class because a student had a “Trump 2020” poster on his bedroom wall. She reported she was subject to cyber bullying and wanted the police to investigate. As it turns out, the student was suspended for two days. Sadly, we don’t hear this on the nightly news.
Another testimony quoted from The MoCo Conservative blog from a 1st grade mother was that her child was read to from a book entitled, Antiracist Baby, by Ibram X. Kendi. Another junior from Rockville High School had to write a report on the black lives matter (BLM) movement.
Another student at Montgomery College wrote a paper on anti-abortion. Her teacher told her the paper was written extremely well and would have received an “A,” but because of the content she would only receive a “C.”
Conservative teachers in Montgomery County are being bullied, intimidated, disciplined, and reprimanded for their conservative beliefs. They are mandated to teach using the new narrative. As a result, we see middle school and high school students standing on street corners holding up signs which support BLM, “social justice,” and de-funding the police. They are clueless and naïve relative to the history of Marxism and Communism.
Middle school and high school students are the product of our failed school system that devotes more time to social reform than teaching basic curriculum.
So, what are the solutions?
Remove the Marxist leaders governing Montgomery County, most of whom live in Takoma Park, Maryland, and replace them with conservative leaders who appreciate patriotism and embrace our historical past embedded in Judeo-Christian values;
Elect a school board that is willing to take a stand to resist the liberal teacher unions and Marxist leadership of Montgomery County;
Campaign for school vouchers so that those who cannot afford private schools can have the right to have their children receive a non-biased, normal education;
Place your children in private schools that reflect your moral and ethical values;
Move to a state or county that has a more conservative agenda; and
Accept that a do-nothing attitude will result in your child’s indoctrination and acceptance into the new narrative of Marxism.
From An Anonymous Parent in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Here is proof that Montgomery County, Maryland Public Schools (MCPS) is teaching children as young as pre-K that White people are inherently racist. The following materials are being used to help teachers indoctrinate our children into becoming marxist, anti-White foot soldiers to help herald in a new era of radical, government-sanctioned ideology.
Let’s start with the first hyperlink, which is also this post’s main graphic. As you can see, based on a short, paraphrased blurb from a single study, it has been understood by the makers of this sheet that, “[W]hite children remain strongly biased in favor of whiteness.”
The Children’s Community School of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania made a graphic using paraphrased and falsified language from one study, and now MCPS is utilizing it for their own curriculum. What do we know about the Children’s Community School?
Their commitment to social justice is prevalent throughout their website, and I think they falsely paraphrased a scientific study in the hopes of creating an echo chamber within the education/indoctrination system. Take a look at the study’s summary:
Did you understand that the first time reading through it? I’m more interested in learning why and how a pre-school educator is able to decipher this cognitive study, concisely paraphrase it, and provide an inaccurate description of what the study is actually about…unless she (or he) had some help.
From the same MCPS PowerPoint slide titled, “Teacher Notes,” I have learned that the book, Antiracist Baby, is being used to further divide people by their race:
And now we have the slide below, which is clearly showing that children enrolled in pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade do not belong in a classroom where they are nurtured to grow and become successful, intelligent, and good adults in society–no, they belong out in the streets, protesting against the Bad Orange Man and his evil, racist ways!
Below are the notes for teachers in the PowerPoint slide, providing scripts for discussing the purpose of what the MCPS school system considers social justice in today’s society:
Sample Script Pre-k-K:
“Let’s talk about why Black and brown people are treated unfairly. Here is a book about why that happens. Let’s watch and listen.”
Watch the video
Sample Script: “The book talks about racism. What did the author say about racism?”
(Racism definition from video: When people believe that having different color skin means you aren’t as good as others.)
Say, “People who don’t think it is fair to treat people differently based on their skin color work for “Social Justice.”
“Social Justice is believing that all people have equal rights, no matter their race or background, and doing actions to change rules or systems that cause some people to be treated unfairly.
There are protests happening all over our country and the world because people are acting on their beliefs that all people should be treated fairly and are protesting to change things that make life harder for some people.”
“The book talks about racism. What did the author say about racism?” (The book stated that some people get more and some people get less because policies don’t always give equal access. Racism is when people create policies or rules that are not fair to everyone because of their skin color.)
Say, “People who don’t think it is fair to treat people differently based on their skin color work for “Social Justice”.
To parents who want their children to learn reading, writing, arithmetic, and kindness in their formative years, this social justice agenda is being shoved down the throats of your impressionable, innocent, young children. Ask yourself:
1. Are you willing to take the chance and not have a say in what your child is being “taught,” or better yet, what your child is being indoctrinated with?
2. Do you want your child to immediately start judging people by the color of their skin before even speaking to them?
3. Do you want your child to consider every thing they read, and every person they speak to, through the lens of what that person looks like and their race, instead of how they act and treat them?
4. Are you comfortable with having your child labeled as inherently racist because of the color of their skin?
5. Have you considered why this is being done to your children at such a young age?
From an anonymous resident of Prince George’s County, Maryland.
The liberal establishment is working overtime to create propaganda in order to punish, accuse, label, and cancel those who disagree with their philosophy or who refuse to support the Democrat Party. They are the very ones creating division and racism in our country, right down to our local communities. It’s a “don’t look at the man behind the curtain” moment, where they try to create a diversion so that you don’t see the real people behind the scenes. They are the ones – the racists – who are dividing the people.
The term “anti-racism” sounds good and seems to make sense on the surface, but it’s deceptive. Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, an anti-racist activist and author of a children’s book titled, Antiracist Baby, claims that you are either a racist, or an anti-racist.
If you say that you are not racist, then you are racist. Unless you are involved in anti-racism activism, then you are a racist.
“There is no in-between safe space of ‘not racist.’” If you disagree or reject this philosophy, then you are an absolute, racist denier without exception. The interesting thing is that this philosophy is directed at white people as expressed in his interviews and writings.
Ibram X. Kendi is a toxic person who sows seeds of discord, hatred, and division while speaking in a subtle, gentle tone in order to deceive his audience.
Those who genuinely support this anti-racism philosophy are not purposed to eliminate racism or establish equality, but to dismantle society in order to establish an upper hand of power. It is a political play – it’s all about votes for the white liberals, and it’s about black supremacy, power, and retribution for those who want to be lawless without consequence.
Here is an example of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) using racially discriminating propaganda. Which specific group is portrayed as the mad one?
If a white liberal pretends that they support anti-racism rhetoric, they are hoping to gain the minority vote. Yet, the politicians cater to this are the ones less likely to invite a person of color over to their home for dinner or to simply hangout.
Supremacy by any color is absolutely unacceptable. Nobody is better than another. Ever since Obama was in office, he has stoked the flames of racism and brought us nearly back to the 60’s with his rhetoric. If the majority in this country were made up of all white supremacists (as claimed the main problem today), Obama would not have been elected for two terms. Decades worth of healing and unity was all undermined during his terms. Yet, the very establishment that created this will blame it all on those who are not responsible.
“Privilege” is a political term. Everyone living in America is privileged to be in this great country. However, some disagree and covet (want) what others have so bad, they will do anything to demand or take it, even to go as far as murder. The term privilege is awful when color is paired with it. Whenever someone has something that the other desires, it is considered privilege even though the person has worked for it. The term privilege is loosely used as if the person who earned something got it for free, and that the anti-racists themselves should be entitled to have that also. This is what the welfare system has gotten us, from catering to it for all these years. This victim-hood/entitlement mentality is very toxic and destructive.
If anything, there is non-white privilege. There is preferential treatment for people of color receiving:
extra points on the SAT,
priority in college acceptance,
first right of refusal for government contracts,
lesser penalty for breaking the law (opposite of what is portrayed),
health prioritization and approval (opposite of what is portrayed), and
all hands on deck with formally filed complaints (establishment fears of civil rights violations).
White-filed complaints are mostly disregarded or dismissed. The liberal establishments and the legal system are rigged against white, heterosexual males.
Whites are more likely to be pulled over for moving violations than blacks, because it is assumed that whites will behave, comply, and are able to pay the fine (yes, that’s racist). Yet, if a white person told the officer “you pulled me over because I am white,” they would be laughed at. When a black person says to an officer “you pulled me over because I’m black,” the officer may not respond or buy into that statement, but they certainly would not laugh either. The bottom line is, whites are also profiled and yes, they receive different treatment that is not always positive or privileged as some would lead you to believe.
This machine, fueled by mere hatred and evil, includes: BLM, Antifa, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Nation of Islam, Black Liberation Movement, New Black Panther Party, the Democrat Party, Cancel Culture, Liberal States, and indoctrination mills. They use propaganda placed in school systems, news media, and social networking. There is nothing unifying about them or what they are doing.
Cities are being burned and people are being labeled, blamed, and assassinated. The machine consists of lynch mobs, and their goal is to destroy America.
In addition, the blame game, degrading others, and a fight for policy changes cannot address racism. Racism exists in the heart of man, regardless of color. Policy cannot change heart, where the true problem resides. Racism is also not a one-way road. Certain groups get a pass-go and are allowed to be justified in their racism as if it does not exist or apply to them. This is the real systematic racism that exists today.
School systems are pandering to this philosophy, and they work to establish that stereotypes and racism can only stem from white people. Ironically, they themselves are the ones stereotyping and being racist through their anti-racism activism, curriculum, and mandated training for teachers.
We as citizens are calling on ALL people of ALL races to be as one. We cannot let the establishment segregate us into groups, turn us from each other, and destroy our country. It’s time to replace this hatred with love and respect for others. We need to clean up our act, get it together, and not allow others to control or mandate the evil that they call good, and the good that they call evil.
From A Very Concerned Citizen In Montgomery County, Maryland.
When does the emphasis on community activism end and real governing begin?
Apparently not any time soon in Montgomery County, Maryland. As long as the seats on our county council are primarily filled with community organizers and political activists, we will continue to see Montgomery County become more like Takoma Park and Berkeley, California. Unfortunately, five of the nine council members are from either liberal Takoma Park or Silver Spring.
Sadly, Jawando, along with most of the other Council persons in Montgomery County, have no business or work experience. Consequently, their total focus while on the council is on community activism.
When Will Jawando joined the council as one of the At-Large Council members in 2018 he immediately began inserting his agenda into legislation. He had now found a new platform for his lifelong passion. Jawando immediately introduced legislation for hair discrimination in the workplace; his ultimate passion was to reform the police department of Montgomery County. In an article published by dcist on August 26, Jawando tells a story of how he was arrested in the mid 2000’s while riding in a car with several law school friends. They were admittedly shouting obscenities at an undercover female police officer. Apparently, his parents did not teach him manners or respect for fellow human beings. Instead of recognizing his fault for his misconduct, he chose to process the incident as police harassment and developed a victim mentality. Sadly, this happens all too often. It’s sad when people do not accept responsibility for their actions. His concern was how this arrest would affect his future career. Today, he counts himself as a victim because of his race. He sees himself as a statistic rather than a foul-mouthed young man who got caught for his poor behavior.
Today, because of his victim mentality, Jawando is on a mission to reshape policing in Montgomery County. Along with Hans Reimer, a Marxist from California, they are proposing that police no longer make traffic stops and issue traffic citations. They would like to use the Berkeley model, utilizing the department of transportation as traffic enforcers. They are also suggesting more traffic cameras.
By Will’s own admission and his distrust of police he is suggesting we throw out the baby with the bath water. Again, it’s legislating to the lowest common denominator.
In a lengthy conversation with a Montgomery County police officer over the Labor Day weekend, he and I discussed policing in Montgomery County. He shared with me that morale on the force is at its lowest point. I asked him if he had been given stand down orders.
He acknowledged most officers are reluctant to make arrests because of fear of reprisal and lack of support from the County Executive, Marc Elrich.
He also shared that many activists purposely provoke police hoping for a negative response while they stand by with their cell phones filming the event. I asked him to tell me how the police would respond if I was a victim of black lives matter (BLM) harassment or if my business was threatened or looted or burned. He sadly responded they would most likely stand down. He shared that the risk of losing his job or being sued or jailed for doing his job caused him to think differently on how he performed his work.
So, I ask you, Mr. Jawando:
1. How do you propose protecting the law-abiding citizens of Montgomery County who are at risk of the anarchists, rioters, and criminals?
2. Do you propose protecting the rioters over the law abiding taxpayers of Montgomery County?
3. Why do you allow your poor, disrespectful behavior as a student shape your policy-making for this county?
It wouldn’t do any good to try to wake people up; the socialists don’t care. Their goal is to destroy and redistribute wealth. The voters of this County get what they vote for. I hope to move from this County shortly, since most of my children have left already.
I realize the futility in attempting to educate those ignorant in their own subjugation. They vote for handouts and freebies with no regard for the future, and the “elected representatives” continue to pander to them with dwindling funds. They will endure a day of reckoning and at that point they will merely move on to another wealthy area. It’s easily followed as the only counties in this state losing tax payers are the sanctuary counties- same as in Virginia.
This last election told me that those leaving are the Republicans and conservatives, as the Democrats easily won their races; the voters didn’t turn up because they simply no longer lived there or were leaving prior to the election.
Maryland is the absolute worst state to retire in. If it weren’t for the first responder’s exemption, I would have already moved. I don’t view Maryland as a changeable state. It’s been corrupt for generations and not likely to change. The populous are too ignorant or lazy to realize what it is they are voting for; honestly, I was surprised when Hogan won twice.
Have you ever wondered why some people continue to make the same mistakes?
While in college, one of my psychology professors declared change does not take place in one’s life unless the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change. In context with today’s political climate, it appears we are in danger of repeating past mistakes.
To complicate matters, monuments representing our history are being torn down and history textbooks are being censored to reflect the new Marxist dialogue. Black Lives Matter (BLM) and Antifa are working diligently to erase and change the narrative of history. The deep state is also working feverishly to spin and distort history, especially when it comes to the Democrat party’s involvement in slavery and civil rights. The truth is that the Democrat party is the party of slavery and Abraham Lincoln was a Republican who took a stand against slavery. That is one example of how those in power used a special technique to manipulate the masses.
In 1925, the German propaganda machine used a technique called the big lie.
The idea behind the German propaganda technique was that by using a lie so colossal, no one would believe that someone could have produced it to distort the truth so infamously. The most recent examples of this in modern times are the Russian collusion hoax and false claims perpetuating that President Trump is racist.
In 1933 Germany disarmed the Jews. This initially began in Berlin where large-scale raids took place to confiscate weapons, and later spread throughout the country. Mandatory registration of guns and firearms was required, which the Gestapo used to locate weapons owned by Jewish people. Jewish weapon owners were disarmed through warrants issued by the police. Newly released documents show how the Third Reich used gun control to disarm and repress its enemies, ultimately rendering them defenseless, which eventually led to the Holocaust.
The famous “Brownshirts” (goon squads): vandalized Jewish homes; ransacked Jewish businesses; burned Jewish synagogues; and terrorized, beat, and murdered those who resisted. Very similar tactics are being attributed to the Antifa and BLM anarchists today. The Holocaust could have been prevented if the guns owned by German Jews had not been registered or given up.
1. Do we see history repeating itself?
2. Are we so naive that we do not recognize the same techniques used by the Germans to control the Jews?
3. Why do we still believe the colossal lies of the Marxist left politicians?
Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States
The framers of the Bill of Rights adapted the wording of the amendment from nearly identical clauses in some of the original 13 state constitutions.
With the dissolving of police departments across America and the refusal of leftist politicians to criticize or condemn street violence, who is left to defend our great country and Constitution? Alexander Hamilton had wisdom beyond his time.
The removal of guns and disarming of law-abiding Americans will only lead to history repeating itself and a new Holocaust in America. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
This article will explore my theory on how cancel culture’s ultimate goal is that of a civil war in the United States, and how certain spending habits of Americans, particularly involving firearms, will help determine the outcome.
I’ve always started papers and articles with a specific quote in mind. For this particular topic, the quote comes easily:
We live in an age of technological advancement that is not only rapidly advancing our quality of life, but is also rapidly deteriorating our peace of mind. As a certain three-star General once stated, “[w]e live in a digital battlefield.”
Going on Twitter and, to a lesser degree, Facebook, you can clearly see that humanity is already at war in a battle hosted by servers, where the opposition (a small but loud and dangerous army) is aided by tyrants like Zuckerberg (Facebook) and Dorsey (Twitter), who brazenly carry an unlimited supply of artillery and ammunition (e.g., angry liberals, bots, shadow banning, blacklisting, blocking, suppression algorithms, etc.).
Digital warriors consist of conservative-leaning individuals who fight against left-leaning radicals online with memes and rhetoric intentionally mischaracterized by the Left as “divisive.” Both sides are pawns in the clash of ideas and morals; where one side’s sole intent is on damaging a person’s livelihood no matter the cost, the other side is fighting a behemoth of rage and idiocy funded by billionaires with a twisted agenda.
This is cancel culture.
Where just one “errant” or unpopular opinion psychologically triggers the snowflake social justice warriors and causes an avalanche of action to destroy reputations, families, and livelihoods, causing irreparable damage to those without job protection.
Cancel culture is, at first glance, an exercise of power to prevent the open debate of ideas. But I see its goal as more violently oppressive.
Journalist Jonathan Rauch recently created a “Cancel Culture Checklist” containing six warning signs explaining how to determine if you are an impending victim of cancel culture. The warning signs include: punitiveness, deplatforming, organization, secondary boycotts, moral grandstanding, and truthiness. It’s a good read for those who wish to learn more about specific actions being taken against those who refuse to adhere to the tenets set forth by the marxist mob of the Democrat party.
Below are the different phases of how cancel culture’s movement and its operatives work, based on my observations and research:
Utilize sleeper cells in all institutions to shove the same agenda down the throat of every student, customer, and viewer to increase reach;
Force defectors to apologize in order to create a feeling of shame for others who wish to do the same;
Dox and “swat” famous and well-known conservatives as a tool to prevent naturally-occurring, and at this point, increasing defection;
Slowly and consistently introduce radical, marxist ideas that your loyal followers must now obey in order to remain compliant and in the “popular” clique; this includes sanctioning murder of those who disagree with you;
Take the agenda out in the streets when an event (staged or not, but usually with a preventable casualty) provides the perfect opportunity to further divide based on issue/label of the day;
Declare war on anyone who lives in the suburbs, no matter what their political affiliation, because they are all selfish and evil; and
Stage a physical, tangible war between law abiding citizens and brainwashed, paid, and “zombified” communists of the Democrat party.
I believe we are currently, as a nation, somewhere between numbers 11/12 and 12/13 (depending where you live). Before we go into what needs to happen to get to the last two, however, let’s take a step back and talk about the types of behavior that allow cancel culture to flourish in our society.
The types of behavior that allow cancel culture to permeate in our society:
Apologetic/no backbone. When someone in the public eye takes a stand on an issue and provides a counter argument to the ideas put forth by the leaders of the radical, progressive Left, they are usually pressured to issue a public apology. When the apology is made public and shared, the Left has once again controlled opposition through their cancel culture agenda. So, what happens when that person does NOT apologize? Apart from clearly becoming persona non grata, something shifts in the narrative; since the Left can no longer control the individual, they employ tactics to make sure that the resistance to their ideals does not reach many people. Since they control the news and social media (to a certain extent), this is easy to do.
False sense of moral superiority. How many times have conservatives heard that we are selfish for putting our needs and our children’s needs above other’s needs? How many times have conservatives and to a lesser extent, moderate liberals, been told they need to “check their privilege”? The Left strategically brainwashes its loyal followers to believe that what they are espousing, the public shaming they are doing, is for “the greater good” of humanity. Don’t have kids! It’s bad for the environment. Don’t start learning pods! Your kids will have a higher chance to succeed later in life than others. Don’t go outside with your mask off! You can kill someone. The list is never-ending.
Overly emotional. Leftist liberals are the most hyper emotional people I have ever met. They rely on their emotions to guide their decision-making skills, thereby prioritizing goals and actions that make them feel good, instead of focusing on long-term, realistic, and pragmatic solutions that will do good. Is there a middle ground? Absolutely! But not for the cancel culture mob, which brings us to #4.
Refusal to compromise. Time and time again, the cancel culture mob’s devoted followers have stated that they refuse to listen to the “other side” and refuse to compromise. This means that it’s basically their way or the “highway.” No wonder they sound like they’re little children throwing a tantrum- would you teach your children to never compromise? I didn’t think so.
Will the suburbanites fight back?
At this point, I am confident that we can follow specific consumer spending trends of American citizens to find a solution/deterrent to cancel culture’s ultimate goal of instigating a civil war.
There is no doubt in my mind, and in the minds of millions of first-time gun owners, that there is a shift happening based on the number of firearm-related purchases by law-abiding citizens.
In case you weren’t paying attention, that is a HUGE number. You can clearly identify consumer spending habits with how safe a consumer is feeling at that time. Based on the number of gun sales alone within such a short time frame, it’s clear that personal, physical safety is being prioritized by many citizens living in the cities and suburbs.
“Gun sales have skyrocketed during the past three months, and a record-breaking 80.2 percent increase in sales was reported in May compared to last year, according to the shooting foundation. April’s data showed a 71.3 percent increase from 2019, and there was an 85.3 percent increase in March, according to information previously released by Small Arms Analytics and Forecasting.”
So, what is the point of showing you this data? It’s clear that more and more people are preparing to have to defend themselves, their families, their homes, and their businesses.
Firearms are the most effective threat deterrent.
You will kill cancel culture’s main, long-term goal of destroying and wreaking havoc on suburbia when you: legally buy at least one firearm (per adult); learn how to use that firearm; and practice self-defense techniques (with a trained professional) that will help you and your family stay safe and eventually escape from immediate danger when (not if) the mob comes for your community.
P.S. Did you think that I would tell you to “fight back” with words and feelings? We are way past that stage, don’t you think?
A Takoma Park Councilman’s idea of farming: solar farming? Hans Riemer, Takoma Park marxist and former Oakland, California resident is proposing a change to the Montgomery County Agriculture Reserve.
Mr. Riemer, who has absolutely no farming experience, believes solar panels are a form of agriculture and farming.
In his e-mail he compares solar panels to growing grapes and grazing sheep. I’m not sure where he is getting his information from but it is apparent that he is clueless regarding the growing of crops for consumption and the raising of animals. Perhaps he believes as AOC does, that groceries originate from the grocery store.
If he had farming knowledge, he would realize that once land is developed, including solar panels, it never reverts back to workable farm land that produces a crop.
If he had farming knowledge, he would also realize that grapes cannot be grown organically. They require regular, preventative pesticide spray; in fact, Mr. Riemer advocated and supported passing legislation that prohibited the use of pesticides in Montgomery County.
Mr. Riemer’s partnership with the liberal Sierra Club, Chesapeake Climate Action Network, and Poolesville Green are indicative of the agenda that he holds. He can be placed in the same radical category as AOC and her “Green New Deal.” Their belief that the world will end in 10 years if the carbon footprint is not reduced is driving them to radical ideas which are not in the interest of agriculture. He, along with his Takoma Park cronies Tom Hucker and Evan Glass, are pushing their liberal agenda much like the Takoma Park ban on fossil fuels. It’s inevitable what happens in Takoma Park will bleed over into Montgomery County.
Hans Riemer’s e-mail is rushing this proposal to meet a September deadline. His goal, like the bill passed in Takoma Park, is to shut down power plants forcing wind and solar power as the only source of power. You can bet the next step will be to follow the lead of Takoma Park banning combustion engines, and natural gas to meet the county’s goal of zero emissions by 2035. We saw these failed attempts during the Obama presidency and how failed energy businesses profited from taxpayer dollars.
Hans Riemer is a graduate of University of California, Santa Cruz. He has never had a job in the business world for profit but rather was (and still is) a political activist, having held positions as director of the national youth vote for Obama, political director of Rock the Vote, public policy associate, and on the 2008 Obama presidential campaign. In 2010 he was elected to an At-Large position on the Montgomery County Council. Nowhere in his biography does it suggest he has agriculture of farming experience. He currently resides in the liberal urban city of Takoma Park. I bet he has never attended the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. One has to laugh out loud to think he can offer comments and expertise on agriculture.
The liberal left’s hysteria over climate change is not based on solid science. Science and history show us the earth has been evolving for billions of years. Hans Riemer’s motivation is purely political, solely crafted to reducing valuable farm land.
I grew up on a farm and understand agriculture. So, I ask Mr. Riemer:
How do solar panels increase our food supply?
How do they benefit agriculture? It’s a far stretch to equate solar panels with farming and agriculture unless you are a Takoma Park liberal with no understanding of farming or agriculture.
What financial or political gain is in this for you and your cohorts?
By Patricia Fenati Of Montgomery County, Maryland.
If you’ve ever read anything about the Russian revolution and the early days of the Soviet Union (or saw the movie Dr. Zhivago), you know that one of the consequences of the communist takeover was to require the sharing of homes by seizing individual properties and moving numerous people into those homes.
Nazi socialism did the same by taking property of those they considered enemies and giving it to others.
No one is moving into my home (yet) but Montgomery County, Maryland, which is facing a housing shortage because we are a sanctuary county, has come up with a neoteric (I think off-the-wall) solution. The County Council recently passed a proposal to provide additional housing in the county termed “Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs),” which allows additional dwelling places in virtually all residential zones.
This dictate essentially negates home zoning laws and allows homeowners to add an apartment in their home, basement, or garage or to build a small house (up to 1,200 sq. ft.) on their property, no matter what the size of the lot. It is intended to increase affordable housing in Montgomery County by encouraging smaller, more cost-accessible units as additions to individual properties.
Why does zoning matter?
According to Wikipedia, the primary purpose of zoning is to segregate land uses into divisions that are meant to be compatible. In practice, zoning is also used to prevent new development from interfering with existing uses and/or to preserve the “character” of a community. By allowing individual homes to be separated from commercial and dense housing such as apartment buildings, residents can be assured that their neighborhood homes have coherence, thus protecting the existing neighborhoods. Zoning restrictions and standards help prevent overcrowding and protect home values. ADUs will promote overcrowding and houses built too close to each other.
Montgomery County citizens have major investments in their homes, sometimes acquired at great sacrifice. They carefully chose the neighborhoods where they live and expected that their elected representatives would assure the quality of life in those neighborhoods would remain the same. Additional dwelling units everywhere will have a significant negative impact on the quality of neighborhoods.
As residents start to add dwelling units built in back yards and convert basements and garages to additional units, the value of neighboring homes will decrease.
I predict “investors” will then purchase those lower cost homes, making separate apartments in the house and putting small rental units in back yards. This will have a serious impact on all housing developments in the county. To avoid this, the new county law requires that the owner live on the property. This sounds good, but once hundreds of these ADUs are built around the county, who is going to police this situation? A person can move away from a site and never notify the county.
“We moved to Montgomery County over 40 years ago. We relied on county zoning to regulate the size of lots and homogenize the structures in our neighborhood. We thought we were assured that new building on a neighboring property would be in harmony with the home in which we live. Now that that assurance is gone, I do not think additional homes in my neighbors’ yards are compatible with the neighborhood into which I moved.”
What effects will these additional units have on parking? The law also loosened parking restrictions for ADUs, so that owners are only required to ensure two off-street spots. Thus, there will be additional parking on the streets.
What about water supply and sewage capacity? What if there is a septic tank? A home in a neighborhood near mine was converted into five apartments (against regulations at that time) and rented to several families. That house had a septic tank which soon was over capacity and caused raw sewage to creep to the surface. Since that was an illegal situation, it was eventually remedied. But since the county did not even police that situation, how will there be adequate oversight when small homes are going up all over the county?
Voters need to understand that what’s happening in Montgomery County is the forerunner of a radical Obama plan, AFFH (Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing) and Joe Biden promises to implement AFFH nationally. But Biden is planning to go further than the Obama plan and follow Cory Booker’s plan to end single family zoning in the suburbs and create little cities everywhere.
Suburban living was initiated to afford a choice for living, away from crowded cities. People were willing to spend the time commuting to jobs in the city in order to have that option for living.
When we moved into Montgomery County those 40 years ago, it was the richest county in the country, with the best education rating in the nation (neither is true today).
When we moved here, we could not afford to live in the wealthy suburbs near Washington, D.C., but we found a home in a new development in a small town in rural farm country. We were able to get a larger home with more property than any we could have purchased with a shorter commute near the city. We have worked for many years to maintain our home, make improvements and pay on our mortgage. We were not rich, Mr. O’Rourke; we knew a move to a home in the country meant a lifetime commitment to a long commute to jobs in the city. But now we are going to be forced to allow lower income people to move into our neighborhood. Buying our home required many sacrifices, but we felt the wholesome atmosphere with fields and woods for our children to play in was worth being far from work. And our children did have many carefree hours exploring the countryside near our home (that was when children were free to roam, not always tethered to a nearby adult). Now the opportunity of open spaces will be denied to other hard working families.
Granted, there are no requirements to force others into our homes (yet) and I am not required (yet) to have additional housing on my property, but make no mistake, forcing ADUs into existing neighborhoods is a move toward socialism.
I found it very interesting that Joe Biden referred to the comparison of “dark and light” during his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC). This is not a new comparison. This phrase has been used metaphorically since the beginning of time to convey deep spiritual truths. Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus used the same analogy. Both political parties claim to be the light while accusing the other to be the dark; Biden was using the phrase to compare the alleged actions and personality of President Trump to a dark place in our history.
Often, one side will equate capitalism as self-interest and refer to it as the side without light. I believe those who wrote Joe’s speech had this in mind. His speech writers were in fact endorsing Marxism and collective interest. Sadly, most Americans did not understand the comparison.
Jesus in the gospel of John Chapter 8 Vs 12 said, “Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”
“If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”
1 John 1:6-7
Throughout the Bible we see references to light and darkness. It also teaches the concept of truthfulness. Ultimately, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth and I am the truth.” He knew 2,000 years ago the world was a dark place full of untruthfulness.
Sadly, I don’t believe Joe Biden fully understood what he was saying or the history behind the phrase he used. I don’t intend this to be a bible lesson, but I do seek guidance from God’s word. The bible equates darkness with untruthfulness, murder (abortion/killing and taking of life), corruption, greed, lust for power and possessions, hatefulness towards one’s neighbor, and failure to give God the recognition He is due, among other attributes. The opposite, light, would suggest mankind’s love and respect for one another, a value of life as the creation of God, honesty and integrity, contentment as apposed to lust, the recognition of God as the creator of all things, and the worship of Him above all other things.
So, one must ask why didn’t Joe Biden, in his acceptance speech, refer to or condemn the darkness and violence taking place in the world and in America today?
Why couldn’t he condemn Antifa or the bigotry, violence, and racism of black lives matter (BLM)? Why couldn’t he condemn anarchy in the streets, murder and violence, lies, and corruption at the highest levels of government?
One must assume one of three conclusions:
Joe Biden doesn’t understand darkness;
Joe Biden is a part of the darkness; or
Joe Biden is being told by dark forces what to say relative to darkness.
It is you, the reader, who must decide which side you are on. You must decide what defines dark and light. You must decide what is good and what is evil. You must decide what is right and wrong. Sadly, the world has lost its moral compass. We have set aside God’s guidelines and adopted our own moral code. As for me, I choose to set my moral compass and determine dark and light according to God’s word as recorded in scripture.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
From An Anonymous Resident Of Montgomery County, Maryland.
I thought it would be fun comparing two styles of leadership and relate it to conservatism and progressiveness (liberalism). These two styles are pragmatism and its antonym, impracticality.
The dictionary definition of pragmatism is: practical, matter of fact, realistic, sensible, down to earth, businesslike, and rational. A further definition of a pragmatic person is one who deals with things sensibly and realistically in a way that is based upon practical experience, rather than theoretical hypothesizing.
Someone with a pragmatic approach to politics is a person with common sense who knows how to get things done. This person’s mentality and outlook on life emphasizes practical consequences in the determination of meaning, truth, or value.
The antonym of pragmatic is impractical. Its dictionary definition is: unsuitable, not sensible, inappropriate, unserviceable, unworkable, unfeasible, impractical, and nonviable. Sometimes academia fits into this category. So, let’s ask ourselves a question: On a national level, how much has our House of Representatives and Senate accomplished in the last 12 years? How much have they accomplished in the last four years? Each side masterfully plays the blame game, but if you really examine the pork that many of these bills contain, it makes them impractical.
It’s a sad commentary on society that many politicians have no business experience. Successful business owners are generally pragmatic. They are able to solve complex problems in a cost-effective manner; prioritize schedules to identify, isolate and solve problems; and enlist teams, staff, and employees who complement and bring value to the job.
The choices for the business owner are to solve the problem in a cost-effective manner or face bankruptcy. Politicians and community activists do not face the same consequences.
They are using money they did not earn, and they consequently spend it as if they had a limitless supply. The results of their choices in solving problems do not have the same consequences as that of a business owner. Thus, many of the decisions they make tend to be impractical, unreasonable, unworkable, and unfeasible.
Let’s look at several local Montgomery County, Maryland examples.
Montgomery County has horrific traffic congestion. Rush-hour in Montgomery County is a nightmare. A pragmatic approach to the problem would be to widen the roads to accommodate traffic. Instead, our County Council, led by the Takoma Park delegation, invest money into bike lanes and sidewalks. They further push mass transit, car pooling, and toll lanes.
The problem with our naïve Takoma Park representatives’ liberal, impractical approach is that they dance around the problem and avoid pragmatic and real solutions.
The question is: are these politicians prioritizing changing our behavior, or are they focused on solving a real-world problem? Part of the problem with impractical decision making is these liberal politicians tend to legislate and design laws focused to the lowest common denominator. They also play to the crisis of the moment. If one person is killed in a police shooting then our county writes a law directed at racial disparities and equity. It’s difficult for me (and countless others) to understand how this issue can be equated with a public health crisis.
Montgomery County has a budget crisis and a shortfall of revenue. When my budget faces turbulence I adjust my spending and cut extravagance. I don’t spend money I don’t have. Solving budget problems by raising taxes only kicks the problem down the road and does not systemically solve the budget crisis. Our Takoma Park delegation of Councilpersons approach our budget crisis using illogical and non-sensible solutions, that if used by a business, would drive them into bankruptcy.
We are witnessing the same lowest common denominator approach used in manufacturing rules and laws governing COVID-19. There are many inconsistencies and inequalities used in applying rules and regulations to manage the virus. The closure of schools and regulations on churches, combined with closure of targeted businesses, are not based on a pragmatic problem-solving approach, but rather on partisan politics based upon illogical and impractical decisions. One can see the bias when riots are allowed to take place but worshipers are not allowed to meet. One has only to compare the numbers of COVID-19 deaths to persons dying from the flu to see the disproportionate logic applied to this problem.
Don’t misunderstand me; I admit we have a problem, but the politicians addressing the crisis are not acting or governing in a pragmatic manner to address the issue.
One can look to Takoma Park, from which most of our County Council live, to see the impractical approach to problem solving taken with politics. Does their nuclear free zone prevent foreign countries from launching a nuclear attack? Does banning lawn mowers and leaf blowers solve the alleged climate change problem? Does the bag tax improve the Chesapeake Bay? Does a $15 per hour minimum wage eliminate poverty? Does providing free health care and rent subsidies to illegals solve our immigration problems? Does limiting the sale of firearms to one per month reduce the murder rate? Does taking firearms from law abiding citizens and taxing ammunition reduce gun violence? Does a ban on petting zoos and circuses make animals safer?
So, how do you prefer your elected officials to base their decision? In pragmatism or in impractical decisions?
From a Concerned Citizen in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Throughout history, the world has experienced the practical application of many philosophical theories. From the beginning, mankind has sought to worship various forms of these theories, turning these theories into religions and gods.
In 1848, a German man by the name of Karl Marx gave birth to a document known as the Communist Manifesto. The ideas and theories of Marx became known as Marxism, which were later interpreted into practice and became Communism.
It was Karl Marx’s objective to dethrone God and destroy Capitalism.
Marx upended the definitions of good and evil to mean that the church and family presented obstacles to utopia. The concept of sin changed, from rebellion against God into striving for individual ends opposed to the collective. The institution of property rights represented original sin. The end goal of Communism replaced the Garden of Eden. The new utopia was heaven.
This view, especially under the funding of billionaire Marxist, George Soros, has been absorbed by academia, media, the entertainment industry, and many in government. They promote cultural Marxism in the form of political correctness. Everyone is equal. The reality is, the Bible speaks of God’s justice as measured by adherence to God’s standards, not by shifting goals of secular academics.
No where in scripture does it task government with equalization of wealth. The bible requires work, frugal living, and honest dealings. It mandates impartial justice, sound money management, and property rights. It also endorses liberty and limited government, all essential elements of capitalism.
In a recent television interview, U.S. Attorney General William Barr was asked about Antifa, the black lives matter (BLM) movement, civil unrest, and the media. He began by saying politics has fundamentally changed; where once we were able to have discussion and debate and then vote, it has been replaced by one side’s desire to tear down the system with no compromise.
Mr. Barr said this revolutionary movement has become a new secular religion.
It has become a political pilgrimage to create a progressive utopia.
Barr went on to compare this revolutionary movement to Marxism. During the interview, a June 12, 2020 report published by the Soeren Kern Gatestone Institute was quoted:
“Empirical and anecdotal evidence shows that Antifa is, in fact, highly networked, well-funded, and has a global presence. It has a flat organizational structure with dozens and possibly hundreds of local groups. Antifa’s stated long-term objective, both in America and abroad, is to establish a communist world order. In the United States, Antifa’s immediate aim is to bring about the demise of the Trump administration.”
From day one of President Trump’s administration, radical leftists have made it their goal to shred the norms of the system. BLM is also focused on bringing down this administration. Why?
They desire POWER and want to run the lives of everyone. This lust for power has become their new religion. The urban guerrilla warfare currently taking place in America is Antifa and BLM shielding themselves under the protections afforded to them in the 1st amendment. They hijack these so-called “peaceful” demonstrations and are highly organized in creating riots and civil anarchy. The media does not fully cover these riots because they are funded by billionaire Marxist and globalist, George Soros.
So, who is George Soros? Forbes has listed him as the 46th richest individual in the country with a net worth of 22 billion dollars. Soros has funded pro-abortion, pro-illegal immigration, pro-national health care, pro-drug legalization, pro-big government, anti-Israel, and anti-America movements. He has direct ties to over 30 main stream media outlets, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Associated Press, CNN, NPR, and ABC. Each of these operations have high-level employees on the Boards of Soros-funded media operations. Soros’ contributions have secured ownership of politicians and have funded Antifa. Many leftist politicians refuse to condemn the anarchy and riots taking place in our country because their very own campaigns are being funded in part by George Soros.
Consequently, Soros is accomplishing his Marxist goal of dismantling America through the use of riots and his manipulation of racism and open anarchy.
BIG MEDIA was born with Soros money.
George Soros discovered he had enough money and know-how to buy options in floundering publishers and individual reporters. He controls the narrativeused by the media, which in turn controls the Democrat party and prevents Americans from hearing the truth. Democrats don’t talk about big media because they are the ones who benefit from it. Each of the most influential big media outlets, with the exception of Fox, are campaigning for far-left causes and radical, liberal candidates.
The deep state is not a conspiracy theory. The corruption within the FBI, CIA, IRS, Congress, and NSA is real and openly evident.
Justice is a word of the past. The Left’s lust for power places them into the category of Marxist. Sadly, most Americans are too naïve and have accepted the narrativeof the media without fully understanding who is creating and funding the narrative. I can only pray Americans will learn to think for themselves and understand how they are being deceived by the narrative.
The November election will shape the direction of America and the world. If Biden is elected it may well be the last president America will see.
The shadow government and deep state will have achieved victory. Our form of government may become history, replaced by the Marxist agenda of Communism. Please, America, wake up. We are one election away from losing the freedoms we have taken for granted. Everything is on the line.
Sadly, on our local Montgomery County, Maryland level we have a Marxist in power as County Executive (Marc Elrich) and a surrounding cast of cronies who live in and support the Marxist agenda of Takoma Park. Your vote to create nine districts is a vote to end this Takoma Park control.
